The Race Mechanic is a road crew position focused on at-track car readiness, quick adjustments, and reliable execution during practice, qualifying, and the race.
What you’ll do
- Inspect and prepare the car at the racetrack in coordination with the Car Chief.
- Perform mechanical adjustments, repairs, and component changes accurately under time pressure.
- Support loading, unloading, technical inspection preparation, and post-session teardown.
Minimum requirements
- At least three years of experience as a traveling Race Mechanic in professional stock car racing.
- Ability to troubleshoot chassis and mechanical issues and execute documented setup changes.
- Strong tool discipline, safety awareness, and attention to detail under race-weekend deadlines.
- A positive attitude, clear communication, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Availability to travel for race weekends and work the schedule required by the team.
