The Tire Specialist manages tire-related operations and communicates tire condition and performance information to the Crew Chief and engineers throughout the race weekend.
What you’ll do
- Prepare, stage, identify, and account for race-weekend tire sets.
- Record and report tire pressures, temperatures, wear, and other relevant observations.
- Coordinate tire handling with the race team and supplier representatives, and support car preparation as needed.
Minimum requirements
- At least three years of experience as a Tire Specialist in professional stock car racing.
- Knowledge of tire preparation, pressure management, wear inspection, and accurate recordkeeping.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in the garage and on pit road.
- A positive attitude, clear communication, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team.
- Availability to travel for race weekends and work the schedule required by the team.
